Asics and Nike again in Argentina: Fernández and Scioli travel to Eldorado
President Alberto Fernández will visit today, starting at 11.30, in Eldorado, province of Misiones, the plant of the company of footwear and sports clothing Dass, where firm managers will make investments ads, import substitution and job generation.
The president will be accompanied by Governor Oscar Herrera Ahuad and the Argentine ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Scioli.
The DASS group manufactures and markets shoes, clothing and sports accessories of the Tryon, Row and Umbro brands in Brazil, and has agreements to produce for brands such as Nike, Adidas, Asics, Converse, Reebok and Under Armor.
It has more than 15 thousand employees in 12 units, located in Brazil and Argentina.
Industrial plants in our country are in Colonel Suárez, province of Buenos Aires, and in Eldorado, Misiones.
The firm faced a serious crisis as a result of the economic crisis and the fall of consumption that occurred from 2018, but in 2020 it decided to sustain production as a result of government measures aimed at preserving the national industry.
