'Pay daily' or 'drop by drop', the phenomenon that does not give in in Medellín

One of the conclusions of the analysis carried out by Corpades is that the State must seriously assume the way of lending to people for their survival, since the projects that they initiate have few resources and do not last long. “What must be done is that the Colombian State acts against the bank so that it does not discriminate against the poor. An alternativeTo counteract this criminal activity that, on occasions, has resulted in the murder of people for not paying on time or in displacement from their territories, entities such as Bancoldex and Fomentamos are present in the country. The first is a development organization created to promote the business growth in Colombia and that, as administrator of Special Programs, offers instruments to promote financial inclusion in the low-income population through the Opportunities Banking Investment Program. For its part, the Fomentamos corporation seeks to promote financial inclusion in the country, especially for families in poverty, microentrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises, and entrepreneurs excluded from the traditional banking system and with high levels of poverty and social vulnerability. Carlos Eduardo Mira, General Director of Fomentamos, assured that the corporation was born to provide solutions to people who cannot access banks.
