Agents of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) captured this Wednesday Víctor Andrés Cano Merino, the subject who took an eight-year-old girl in La Molina. In a joint effort, the uniformed officers reached the San Juan de Lurigancho (SJL) district to arrest the 42-year-old man who the day before had taken away a family's peace of mind.
In communication with the press, Colonel PNP Franco Moreno Panta, head of the Kidnapping Division (Divise), gave some scope of the intervention; for example, revealed that the individual washed the clothes he wore on the day of the events to eliminate any incriminating evidence.
“This is a felony. His polo shirt, hat and slippers were found. In addition, he confessed that he had captured the minor a month ago posing as a female person. The man tried to escape, but we have not allowed him to, ”the PNP headline stressed to La República.
Likewise, it was learned that the man, nicknamed 'Triangle', took the minor to the cinema in the Puruchuco shopping center, in Ate Vitarte. In this regard, the relatives denounced that said establishment refused to deliver the images from the security cameras.
After the subject returned the girl to her home in La Molina, the mother of the family went to the cameras of La República and confirmed that her daughter she is healthy and calm. In the same way, she assured that she will continue with the investigations.
