Vaccination against covid will be mandatory for officials in Panama
The Government of Panama has decided that vaccination against covid-19 is mandatory for public officials, at a time when the country is experiencing a fourth wave evidenced in an explosion of new daily cases driven by the omicron variant.

"Today we signed a decree with the president (Laurentino Cortizo) where vaccination is mandatory for all public officials. If there is something that cannot stop, it is the government facilities, which have to continue operating," the Minister of Health declared on Wednesday. Hello, Luis Francisco Sucre.
An official who does not get vaccinated "will have to present a negative test every Monday to his immediate boss or to Human Resources," Sucre said.
