A few days after the premiere of its first episodes, Pam & Tommy is already giving something to talk about among those who were able to see the series before its debut on February 2.
The story follows Lily James and Sebastian Stan as the iconic all-star couple, following the release of their infamous unauthorized sex tape that was recorded in private during their honeymoon, and delves into the complexity of their bond as well as the weight of fame on each of them and on their romance exposed to the world.
Here's what the reviewer is saying:
Jennifer Keishin Armstrong, The Wrap: “Gauthier's story is fascinating, but it would all fall apart if James and Stan didn't infuse Pam and Tommy with as much star-like charisma and empathy to make us feel compassion. by people whose images have tended toward the cartoonish.”
Daniel Fienberg, THR: “We've made a mess of celebrities in this country. Pam & Tommy at least captures that."
Alan Sepinwall, Rolling Stone: "Hulu's series on the world-viewing sex tape is a hilarious and humanizing look at a pivotal moment when pornography, pop culture and the Internet in their infancy collided."
