Traveling to Boyacá is synonymous with 'towning' and if you miss walking through colonial places, enjoying local cuisine and seeing the Christmas lights of this 2021, these are some of the 'towns' to do it.

Nobsa

Nobsa's lighting has the Christmas tree with LED lights as its 'starring' attraction, all the 'luminaires' change different shades and colors. Nobsa is 2 hours and 30 minutes from Bogotá, following the Briceño, Tunja-Sogamoso route.

As of December 16, the Artisan Fair 'Fall in love with Nobsa' began, where you will be able to find the first exhibitions of various types of crafts, the most recognized in the region, they are the typical boyascense ruanas that have great prominence.

You also have to give it a "space" to try the local gastronomy, the sweets and walk through the Christmas lights, which are great to visit with the family.

Tibasosa

The production of Feijoa and the variety of its sweets precede Tibabosa, which this year will have a special lighting that will last until January 11, 2022. It has a Cold Christmas theme, with houses in the style of Santa Claus , white lighting, with LED lights.

There will be 6 points of cultural murals, which honor the women of the region, also portraying the customs, women and men who have represented something significant for the Boyacá region.

Firavitoba

Near Sogamoso, is Firavitoba, the municipality of Boyacá will have its Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Snows, illuminated. It will also have three parks, from its main town, mixed with lights and illuminated structures with celestial forms, fauna and flora.

Around an old tree in the main square, there is a significant manger that will be illuminated so that people can have a space to admire it. The 'little town' is ready to receive visitors, since the 'Novenas' will begin and they will be able to attend the Torbellino Festival, the Rural Music Festival and the wheelbarrow contest.

Mongua

Mongua is located 80 kilometers from Tunja, one of the lighting arches extends to the central square of the municipality. It will have lighting made up of more than 6,000 light bulbs, a theme inspired by archaeological remains, there will be a matachines party, where you can also participate in the Monguanas 'Novenas'.

“On the 24th we have the party of the matachines, which consists of the people from here dressing up and making a political satire of international or national characters, for example, from the mayor's office or of people who are well known. It is a way to distract ourselves and have fun and have an interesting time here in Mongua”, said Cristian Pinto, Secretary of Culture and Tourism, to national media.

On December 31, there will be a particular parade of New Year's dolls that will be a cool attraction for visitors. Unlike other 'pueblitos' from Boyacá, which will have lighting until January 10, Mongua will withdraw it on January 6.
