Where to go on a trip in 2022? Recommendations and hotel news

In Mexico

In November 2021, arrivals at the Cancun airport exceeded pre-pandemic figures, according to data from the Sureste Airport Group (ASUR). In Los Angeles, California, USA

This culture-packed city - experiencing its biggest downtown development boom in nearly a century - welcomes travelers in 2022 with limitless experiences, including the reopening of the Underground Museum, < /b>the only museum founded by artists in Los Angeles; and the opening of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, dedicated to exploring the art and science of cinema and filmmaking.

Hotel Updates: The Conrad Los Angeles, in the cultural corridor of downtown Los Angeles, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2022 as part of the use development joint of Related Companies, The Grand LA. Designed by Frank Gehry, this project represents the culmination of Gehry's storied career: the only place in the world where two of his best architectural designs will compete.

In New York

Manhattan welcomes travelers in 2022 with the much-anticipatedBroadway Museum, debuting in the summer. The year will also welcome the continuation of an $8 billion redevelopment of La Guardia Airport, with most of Delta's new terminal due to be completed by spring 2022.

Hotel news: As a sign of the city's recovery, the New York Hilton Midtown, with 1,878 rooms, reopened its doors in October 2021, while in the Conrad New York Downtown, families can add the “Little Kid Big City” Adventure Kit and self-guided tour of New York for kids and receive a prize upon completion.

In Las Vegas, USA

With nearly a quarter of Americans ranking Las Vegas at the top of their must-visit destinations (according to a recent study by Hilton), the Entertainment Capital of the World is seeing a surge of new Hilton hotels, including the Hospitality leader returns to The Strip. Events that will reappear on The Strip in 2022 include a host of new performances by the likes of Katy Perry, Shania Twain, Usher and others, contributing to a hopeful revival of live music.

Hotel Updates: Over the past three years, Hilton has nearly doubled its presence in Las Vegas, cementing its legacy in the iconic city. Growth includes the recent opening of Resorts World Las Vegas, the largest Hilton property globally, with 3,500 rooms and suites across three premium brands from Hilton, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and a Hilton Hotels & Resorts.

In early 2021, Hilton also added the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Curio Collection by Hilton to its portfolio. The resort features more than 1,500 rooms and suites, 15 distinct and unique dining venues, including the iconic Shag Room, restaurateur Nick Maters' Kassi Beach House, Todd English's Olives, multiple entertainment venues, and Mohegan Sun Casino, among others. By the fourth quarter of 2022, the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas will complete its renovation.

In Orlando, Florida, USA

Walt Disney is celebrating 50 years with an 18-month extravaganza of golden anniversary festivities through spring 2023. The $2.7 billion renovation of Orlando International Airport, which will cost more than any other investment in Orlando , is scheduled for completion in early spring 2022, including the introduction of Brightline, Florida's high-speed rail service.
