Wass already had the desire to leave Valencia in the summer, first to clubs in his country and then to Olympique de Marseille, and now, a few months before his 33rd birthday, he is presented with an 18-month contract (plus two other optional) with a Champions club. And for that reason, as this newspaper reports, the player is determined to consider it.

Valencia knows the difficult position of the player, who in recent months has rejected a renewal offer, and also knows the offer from Atlético. From there they have to make the decision: accept his departure or say no to Atlético and Wass, to fulfill his contract, which we must remember ends in June. Initially, once the rojiblanco interest was known, Valencia assumed his departure and the only condition they put on the Dane was not to let him leave until they find a guaranteed replacement for him. But therein lies the problem. On January 12, such a market hypothesis is quarantined and for this reason Murthy attended the meeting with Bordalás to find out the opinion of the coach, who will have the last word. At the moment, Wass does not leave Valencia, although in his day the same it was said of Kondogbia.
