With different formats and schedules, by land, sea and air, the Three Kings of the East will manage this afternoon to appear in different parts of the Valencian geography in a day characterized by the drop in temperatures and the limitations and precautions imposed by the authorities due to the health situation
There will be no parade in the capital, where 5,000 people who sold out in just one hour will be able to enjoy a show that begins at 5:30 p.m. in the bullring. The use of masks will be mandatory at all times, people over 12 years of age will have to carry their vaccination passport to access the premises and the consumption of drinks or eating inside will not be allowed.
The show will feature the intervention of 16 setting companies, four musical groups and a group of dolçainers. In total, the act is divided into 12 sections and will last about three hours. The parade itself will begin at 7:00 p.m. Their Majesties of the East will access the square with a means of transport that will be another of the surprises of the day.
The oldest parade of the Three Wise Men in Spain, that of Alcoi, will return two years later to tour the streets of the city. It will do it in a different way than the traditional one, as the parade has to adapt to the current restrictions due to covid, so the pages must provide a covid certificate, there can be no physical contact between participants and the public, candy will not be distributed to the public and the wise men will not be able to kiss children.
Despite these restrictions, the cavalcade will have a special and unprecedented element as the final culmination: the match between Alcoyano and Real Madrid. The traditional cavalcade, which will begin at 6:00 p.m., will celebrate its 136th edition this year and will maintain its usual route, through which Their Majesties the Kings of the East will visit Alcoi accompanied by their usual pages, who, using a ladder, They will access the houses and will deliver to the youngest the gifts that the Kings have brought them.
However, the little ones will not be able to offer food to the pages as thanks for these gifts, due to the covid regulations, nor will they be able to kiss them or thank them with hugs for these gifts, since it is intended that the participants relate as little as possible .
Consistorial sources have explained that the number of participants will be reduced to gain "fluidity" and with the aim that the popular walk of Their Majesties ends before 9:00 p.m., so that the fan has half an hour to reach the field of El Collao and so that the Kings can continue on their way.
The Cavalcade of Alicante extends its route including the Avenida de la Estación, although it eliminates the traditional final section towards the Town Hall to conclude in the more spacious Rambla de Méndez Núñez. It will start at 7:00 p.m. from the last section of Avenida de la Estación, the one adjacent to Avenida de Salamanca. The wise men from the East will arrive by boat at a berth in the port located in front of the Concha de la Esplanade Auditorium. They can only be seen from afar as direct contact is not allowed.
From there they will go to the bullring to be received by the little ones, having reduced the capacity: only 2,800 invitations have been distributed out of the 5,500 initially planned. This will be the only time they can hear the voices of the Magi because their speech from the main balcony of the Town Hall and the subsequent Adoration in the Plaza have been suppressed.
Her Majesties will arrive by sea at Grau at 11 am and will disembark in Plaça del Mar, where they will greet the public and, through a fenced route, they will arrive at Plaça de Séte to make a brief speech. Then there will be a tour of the neighborhoods until, at 6:00 p.m., the parade will begin on Gobernador Avenue, at the height of Cardona Vives Square. The itinerary will continue along Casalduch and Chatellerault avenues to finish at the Palau de la Festa around 7:30 p.m.
The parade of the Three Kings will depart at 7:00 p.m. from the Pedro Zerolo garden in the Carrús neighborhood and will go through some of the city's widest streets, such as Avenida de Novelda and Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, until it reaches the Palacio de Altamira, in place of the traditional route that includes Reina Victoria Avenue and Corredera Street, in the heart of Elx.
This year, a longer route than usual has been chosen, which will run through wider streets and sidewalks, which in turn has made it possible to increase the number of chairs for sale, 3,000 more than two years ago and will reach 11,500 .
The Elche Skaters Association, stilt walkers, puppets, magical fairies, characters from Disney, Marvel and Star Wars, the recreation of a circus show, as well as the biblical part in which the shooting star will announce the arrival of the Three Wise Men to Elx.
In Elda, whose cavalcade celebrates its centenary, the parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., from the Vinalopó Gardens. The mayor, Rubén Alfaro, explained that "the Cavalcade will wink at all those groups of workers who have played a fundamental role during the pandemic".
PATERNAL
The event will begin at 6:00 p.m., from Primero de Mayo Avenue to the intersection with Savina Street. There will be no final show or speech by the Kings. Their Majesties will visit confined children who have requested it in the morning.
The Xàtiva City Council has agreed to some modifications for the Cavalcade, a parade that starts at 6:30 p.m. and extends its route to the Avenida de la República Argentina. There will be neither welcome to their Majesties of the East nor distribution of sweets during the journey.
Their Majesties will arrive at the Port at 5:00 p.m. but the public will not be able to approach it, although it can be followed electronically and on television. The parade will start at 7:00 p.m. and will be faster than other years and the route will be wider so that people do not crowd the main roads.
The Cullera City Council has also decided to double the route of this year's Three Kings Parade and suppress the final concentration to avoid crowds, in addition to subjecting all participants to antigen tests.
VILA-REAL
Starting at 6:30 p.m., the cavalcade will start, according to custom, from the headquarters of the Antonians, in Raval del Carme, to line up Pius XII, La Murà and Francesc Tàrrega avenues, and continue along Ignasi Vergara, Polo de Bernabé , Plaça de Sant Pasqual, Raval de Sant Pasqual and Major Sant Jaume to reach Plaça de la Vila and Plaça Major, where they will be received by the municipal authorities. The event, declared a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest, has different aspects that differentiate it from others, including being the oldest in the province.

It will depart at 6:00 p.m. from Elche Park and will pass through Los Almendros avenue, Marte, Venus, Ruzafa and Herrerías streets, Plaza de SSMM Reyes de España and Parque de l'Aigüera until it reaches the Julio Iglesias auditorium.
The auditorium will open at 5:00 p.m. until capacity is reached, with entrance from Aigüera avenue, and to access it it will be necessary to present the Covid certificate. Unlike previous years, the Three Kings will not carry out the usual distribution of gifts among the little ones, whom they will greet from the stage.
