We assume that it is a road freight transport company, otherwise you will have to consult the applicable agreement. In the freight transport agreement, the business supplement to Social Security benefits in cases of temporary disability (IT) is regulated in article 32, which literally says:
Article 32. Supplement to Social Security benefits
Irrespective of the benefits provided by the management entities, due to temporary disability, due to work accident, surgical intervention, hospitalization, the companies will pay the affected workers a supplement that, added to the statutory benefits, guarantees one hundred percent of the regulatory base of the worker in ordinary working hours.
In the remaining cases of temporary disability, whatever the cause, the companies will also pay the affected workers a supplement similar to that established in the previous paragraph, although in this case the payment obligation by the companies will arise from the third month of sick leave, unlike the cases of accident at work, surgical intervention and hospitalization, in which the obligation will start from the first day of sick leave.
In cases of common illness, companies will supplement fifteen percent up to seventy-five percent of Social Security benefits, from the fourth day to the twentieth day of the worker's medical leave.
In all the cases indicated above, said supplement will be paid up to a maximum of eighteen months, as long as the employment relationship remains in force.
