The two girls were born in this hospital in the capital of La Rioja (which no longer exists) on the same day, five hours apart; The two needed to be in the incubator and, apparently, when they went to the crib area, they were exchanged and given to the wrong parents.
The DNA test corresponds to the biological father of the girl who, in 2017, together with her grandmother, who had raised her, filed a claim for maintenance against what they thought was her father, although he claimed that he was not her father. daughter.
The Family Judge ordered, on that date, a paternity test on the defendant, which confirmed that he was not her biological father and, later, it was revealed that the one she believed to be the biological mother of this minor was not, either, according to a DNA test that was performed on him unrelated to this case.
Recognized as the daughter of her biological parents
This girl, who was 15 years old at the time, demanded that her identification be verified in accordance with the principle of biological veracity. The Ministry of Health opened an investigation and attributed this exchange of babies to human error, as stated, on September 7, by its owner, Sara Alba.
The newspaper La Rioja announces this Monday that on October 14, a hearing was held at the Palace of Justice of La Rioja, behind closed doors, for the filiation procedure promoted by this young woman to be legally recognized as the daughter of her parents. biological parents (mother passed away in 2018).
