The wave of robberies in Paterna shops and establishments during Christmas dates has caused the scream of alarm of the affected themselves.Until a dozen assaults in two weeks has counted the Paterna Association Unió Comerç (PUC) while from the City Council they argue that the National Police only has a complaint.
Most of the thefts have the same modus operandi. The assailant or assailants enter the establishments forcing the entrance blinds to the premises. As can be seen in a video captured by the security cameras of one of the assaulted businesses - in the early morning of last Sunday - the empty thief collection of the boxes in his pockets. The individual hides his face with the hood of a sweatshirt, in addition to the mandatory mask by the pandemic, and is provided with gloves to leave no traces.Once the loot has been made, he leaves the trade raising the blind of the entrance.“More is the destruction that causes you to what they take, it does not reach 120 euros.Instead they have damaged the blind and the TPV where we have all documentation filed, ”explains the business owner."We are desperate," he cries.
In this sense, in addition to the claims of greater security launched by PUC, both Compromís and the PP have demanded the largest police presence for the protection of local commerce.
